Innovation Partnership Programme

Enterprise Ireland's Innovation Partnership Programme supports Irish-based companies to access national research performing organisations (RPO) to develop new and improved products, processes and services. Innovation Partnerships require company cash contribution but allow up to 80% of project costs to be leveraged. Intellectual property created through the project will be owned by the RPO with the applicant company guaranteed a licence to the technology, agreed upfront.

If you are already supported by Enterprise Ireland or IDA Ireland, you may be eligible to participate.

Feasibility Studies are intended to provide a ‘stepping stone’ to enable researchers and RPOs to become involved in full Innovation Partnership projects with industrial partners. An open call programme operates, with monthly approvals. The maximum grant awarded is €9,000. The study focus should be on a new product or process and/or services development. Project duration is limited to no more than six calendar months from the agreed start date.

Eligible companies include companies involved in manufacturing, processing and internationally traded service companies, with an operating base in the Irish Republic, collaborating with eligible RPOs. Multi-partner consortiums are welcome.
