iPharMA MNC Survey Participant Information Sheet
Since its inception in 2013, the Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Technology Centre (PMTC) an Enterprise Ireland & IDA funded, industry-led research centre has been focused on solving real-world pharma manufacturing challenges to deliver impact for member companies and sustain the competitiveness of Pharma manufacturing in Ireland. It does this through the delivery of agile and applied research & innovation across a breadth of pharma processes.
In a wider context, pharmaceutical manufacturing is evolving rapidly with increasing emphasis on digitalization, green manufacturing and other emerging trends. Ireland needs to maintain and build upon its leadership position at the vanguard of global pharmaceutical manufacturing and the PMTC plans to play its part in supporting this endeavor.
What we’re looking to do:
In consultation with an industry-led working group, PMTC with support from Enterprise Ireland and IDA have agreed to fund a project to map current capabilities and future needs of Pharma manufacturing in Ireland. This mapping exercise will also identify those involved in the wider ecosystem including the relevant academic Research Performing Organisations (RPO’s) to assess whether the current landscape will be equipped to act as an enabler for the sector as they advance to meet future needs.
Why we’re doing it:
To enable PMTC provide appropriate and relevant supports for the Pharma sector and relevant SME's serving the biopharma sector in Ireland to better market Ireland as the preferred location for pharma manufacturing globally. It will also help ensure that supports by the State are in line with the needs of the sector and that the connectedness of the broader ecosystem in Ireland is maximized.
What we’re asking you to do:
To participate in a short survey (the results of which will be aggregated and anonymized) which sheds light on the manufacturing and related activities being undertaken by manufacturing companies located on the island of Ireland and the indigenous SME’s who support those operations. The focus of the survey will be on technologies and range of unit operations being performed in Ireland (current and planned).
How long this will take you:
We estimate that the initial survey will take no more than 20-25 minutes to complete and your participation is voluntary and you have the right to withdraw at any time. To participate in this survey, you must be over the age of 18. If you have further questions regarding this research, feel free to get in touch with either myself or the PMTC Centre Director at the email addresses listed below.
